Hi, I am

ARNAVAVI

A collection of things I’ve researched, built, sold and spent too much time thinking about.

B2B Inventory Management:
A Lean Management Approach

Bachelor thesis, Prague University of Economics and Business, 2024. Fieldwork at a mid-sized steel trader’s warehouse in Gurugram, India.

Read the full thesis
Warehouse team manually moving steel sections during thesis fieldwork

Operational problem

The warehouse handled steel pipes, sheets, flats, rebars and chain links, but daily operations were slowed by material-flow delays, inaccurate stock levels, disorganised loading/unloading and repeated quality checks.

Context

A mid-sized steel distributor serving B2B customers across NCR, with manual handling, overhead cranes and a weighbridge at the centre of inbound/outbound flow.

Investigation

25 operational issues were identified, classified by TIMWOODS waste type and scored for severity, occurrence and detection using the FMEA scale.

Methods / Frameworks

Lean management, TIMWOODS waste classification, FMEA, Risk Priority Number (Waste Analysis Number) and Pareto analysis.

Pareto chart ranking the 25 identified warehouse waste issues

Key finding

The highest-impact waste clustered around transportation, inventory and motion — particularly delays in material flow, inaccurate stock levels and inefficient order picking. The Pareto-shaped risk profile pointed to a small set of issues driving most of the operational drag.

Thesis result

Graded Excellent (1/4), the top band, for the thesis, defence and state exam at Prague University of Economics and Business.

Specialty Chemicals
Sector Map

A 13-slide research deck that dissects why the chemicals industry is growing slowly while the best chemical companies are not.

Specialty chemicals sector map showing the eight layers of analysis

Making sense of an
industry from the
outside in.

The core question

Who owns the margin in specialty chemicals — the companies with the most manufacturing capacity, or the ones that own regulatory qualification, application know-how and customer switching costs?

The answer in one line

The moat is not the chemistry. It is the approval. Value sits in formulation, qualification and lock-in, not in feedstocks.

Specialty Chemicals
Compliance & Risk Engine

After mapping the sector, I wanted to see what an operational workflow inside it could actually look like. So I built a Make.com automation around two problems that keep recurring in specialty chemicals: certification renewals, and regulatory developments that quietly affect a product portfolio.

Download the blueprint (.json)
01

Certification monitoring

  1. 01Google Sheets
  2. 02Expiry check
  3. 03AI review
  4. 04Action alert

The workflow reads certification records from a Google Sheet, compares every expiry date against today, and isolates the certifications that need action within 60 days while skipping anything already renewed. For each one it generates a certification-specific renewal checklist, logs the alert, and sends an email briefing.

02

Regulatory risk monitoring

  1. 01Product / CAS inventory
  2. 02Regulatory news
  3. 03AI risk analysis
  4. 04Product matching
  5. 05Recommended action
High riskMedium riskLow risk

The second route reads the product and CAS inventory, pulls EPA and REACH regulatory news from an RSS feed, and analyses each article against that inventory. It assigns a High, Medium or Low risk level, names the products affected, suggests an action, logs the result, and sends a daily executive briefing.

Research tells you what matters. Building forces you to think about what happens next.

I don’t only
analyse things.
I like building
them too.

ExperimentalBuilt for fun

Some ideas start with a spreadsheet. This one started with a sticker in Prague.

During university in Prague, exposure to street-art and graffiti culture — plus seeing a friend with a small events business place stickers unexpectedly and post them online — led to the idea.

A brand found in public creates curiosity.

01 Observation

Physical stickers in public spaces create surprise and local discovery in a way feeds do not.

02 Idea

Brands want unconventional, physical discoverability. People with spare time want small, location-based missions.

03 Marketplace Experiment

A simple two-sided model: brands post sticker-placement tasks; individuals complete them for extra money.

Trekky landing page for discovering hiking trails across India

Trekky

A trail-discovery product for finding hikes across India and understanding what to expect before setting out.

Problem noticed

I once got lost on a trail in Nainital with no mobile connection. For about an hour I had no idea where to go or what to do — a scary reminder that an impulsive trek can turn risky fast.

Insight

Impulsive hikers like me need more than a map pin. They need to know difficulty, access, permits, and recent conditions before they set out.

What Trekky does

Trekky helps plan treks across India with curated collections, plain-language difficulty, verified trailheads, permits, and an interactive map. Live user reviews for trails are coming next.

Why I built it

I built it so no one else has to feel that lost-hour panic. Trekky turns scattered trail information into a clear plan, even for last-minute trips.

A sneaker-reselling venture I started during university.

I noticed the gap between limited sneaker supply and secondary-market demand, built supplier relationships, sourced sought-after pairs, priced around scarcity and demand, and sold directly through Instagram without paid advertising.
